alan parley also known as hostage from edinburgh, scotland is producing house music for ten years now. besides getting massive radio airplay, his track "let's pretend" was featured on a mixmag compilation alongside tracks by sebastian, surkin and erick morillo. check 24 hours for more material, including a remix by the scar and watch out for countless hostage gigs soon.
'gluttony' is a supersaturated club banger driven by whirling synths and roaring basses that could originate from a gabber track, interrupted by an uplifting breakdown that will remind you of your favorite uk hardcore tape just before it rips your dreams of a better world to pieces and knocks you all the way down again. play it loud!

electro is dead.
the other day i was checking out bigstereo and came across their gameboy/gamegirl feature. the track really got me excited and so i went straight to miami horror who produced the track. the 'electro is dead' quote on his profile made me shake my head - until the myspace player got going. imagine daft punk rolling with prince. get ready for heavy banging drums and ecstatic chords covering thick layers of synth, making way for mindbending guitar solos and tons of funk, in short: miami horror is sharper than axel foley's new haircut. and even though the new justice single leaked on the very same day, i couldn't stop listening to "don't be on with her". that night, electro was dead.
when asked about who has influenced his music he named prince, early madonna, joy division, italo disco, giorgio moroder and the devil. a full-length with all new tracks is currently in the works, get ready for "both a pop 80's disco adventure and musical journey through a range of lost epic 80's styles, with some songs feeling reminiscent of movie soundtracks". i can't wait, this 20-year old australian is the freshest thing i've heard in ages.
i am more than excited to have these tunes as exclusive firsts on discodust:
miami horror - don't be on with her
stardust - music sounds better with you (miami horror remix)
also make sure to check out:
gameboy/gamegirl - sweaty wet/dirty damp on bigstereo

creation through deconstruction.
after coming back to italy from an excessive worldwide two months clubbing trip, the bloody beetroots were born in order to bring their own vision of deconstruction to the dancefloors where it all started - from berlin to london, through barcelona and new york. this is unpredictable architecture. controlled chaos. handcrafted drawing-board riots. bob & tea are out there to deconstruct everything that makes a sound. coming up soon are productions for sirbilly as well as official remixes for the whip, fox n'wolf (both on kitsune maison) and crookers (hear it on their myspace). you better take cover and watch out - your tune might be the next to be turned upside down and taken apart.
up on discodust are two rough and raw electro tunes off their first four-tracker:
the bloody beetroots - rotten pick 2007
the bloody beetroots - pour un rasage de très près
