infadels + alex metric.

two years after their debut album 'we are not the infadels', after playing over 300 gigs from europe to china, infadels are back with a new album named 'universe in reverse', 'bursting with energy, growling guitar melodies and hooks in abundance'. the very catchy feel-good anthem 'free things for poor people' is the second single from the album which is coming up on june 23rd on wall of sound.

lucky as we are, wall of sound got some remixes for the single as well and my favorite one is done by alex metric who constantly impresses me with all of his recent work, including the remix for splittr and of course his own ep 'in your machine' on marine parade. his remix is a perfect combination of stadium indie rock track and a driving electro (yeah you hate that term by now) banger that will cause fireworks in your heads. go check it out right here in high-q, blogged first on discodust:

infadels - free things for poor people (alex metric remix)

show infadels and alex metric some myspace love and watch out for the album 'universe in reverse'.

UPDATE: mp3s taken down because the promotion phase is over.

Alex Metric saves the day! The Infadels have been universally disappointing, but this is great! Keep it up Discodust and check my new blog at nowheretobe.wordpress.com! Thanks!

could you post some good music for a change please. not that cheap electro-punk stuff. I preferred that stuff with melody and drive like the deviates of boys noize (puzique, siriusmo...) or the ones with the 80s sound synths from the valerie project. Alex Gopher produces only shit recently, too.

anonymous: i just had some 80s influenced/valerie-related stuff the other day, did you miss 'pony pony run run'? and yeah, i'd love to post siriusmo or valerie or other disco/80s-related stuff all day but it's not like there are tons of that.

in the meantime, you should start your own 'good music' blog where you only post 'good music' with permission. i am excited to hear from you.

i like your commitment. but come on, poney poney run run? actually I have to download it again to see what you mean caus i dismissed it when i downloaded it the first time... maybe i will start my own blog and filter out all the good stuff from all every musicblog on earth. I'll call it: "the blog you can trust" cheers

forget about the haters Aleks! and there seems to be a lot of them lately..

here's an idea: if you don't like the music, etc, DON'T DOWNLOAD THE TRACKS THEN HATE ALL OVER A MAN DOING AN EXCELLENT JOB FOR YOU FOR FREE

Discodust is one of the best blogs on the web.. 320 kbps, authorized, varied, etc. What a great source for DJs and music fans in general. This track and the Pony Pony Run Run are an excellent change from all the electo-blog-housey stuff that saturates these blogs, and it's a testament to what a great job Aleks does

so keep it.. we <3 you xo.

I just wrote in to say thanks for the remix and NAY at the Infadels being "disappointing." They are UNDERRATED and deserve some love. Thanks for posting them.
