fm attack.
fm attack is the dreamy vintage synth new romantic wave italo disco dreamwave (yes, we are still looking for the official name for this 'genre') side-project by deep house producer and dj shawn ward who was discovered and signed by no one else than tiga for his very own turbo recordings.
inspired by his mother's eighties record collection as well as plain love and passion for the sound of analog synthesizers, shawn started fm attack and is definitely giving valerie and lifelike some heavy competition now!
fm attack - disco attack
fm attack - take me away
show fm attack some myspace love and stay tuned for more from him, i'll definitely keep an eye on him! props to my boy fakebeat for the hookup!

Mmm... seems to promise a lot but then not actually deliver. Love that guitar intro though.
If you ask me it delivers from beginning to end. And yeah that intro is really sweet.
Hm i'm sure thousands of cool records with the same style are existing but nobody knows them anymore :-(
I listened to 'Disco Attack' and other than the breakdown.. it didn't do much for me :( Kick is wayyy too heavy and the melody just isn't moving!
Then I moved on to Take Me Away which is about a thousand times better. Wonder if he did made Disco Attack first and still kept some of his deep house feel...
Disco Attack sounds super french housey - as if it's based on a sample hence the lack of more movement. It's definitely more in the vein of something you'd see on Solid Goldberger than Valerie. Love it!
Take Me Away was MUCH more Valerie.
very funny... all those dudes produce "80s style" and on the other side this boring french deep house.
please stay on one genre and don't jump from 80s to deep house like lifelike.
Yeah except Lifelike does it properly.
YEAH! STOP INNOVATING! WE DON'T WANT ESTABLISHED PRODUCERS! NO! GO AWAY YOU SILLY DEEP HOUSE GUYS! WE WANT LEGIT ONLY!
*rolleyes*
Actually, "FM Attack" is a pretty good name for the genre, innit? ;)
good stuff. I like both these. seriously it bores me when artists have no range of variety. not sure if the kick's a touch too loud or just needs to be tighter/snappier on disco attack but it's not off by much.. it's more a club track so you do still need it to thump.
