sharkslayer + rico tubbs.
hey you kids who kept asking for 'more bangers', are you still out there? i know i've let you down but you know how it is, hardly anything exciting around lately. the whole distortion sound is going down the drain, most of the fidget tunes rely on detuned clownstep basslines, the tunes just don't work and no one really comes up with anything original either. thank god there's sharkslayer, consisting of top billin's very own nenis and dj pushups.
their recent remix for 'boom riddim' by rico tubbs is one of the few harder tunes that i've heard in the past months that is totally blowing me away! if this doesn't get the crowd moving, nothing will! sharkslayer deliver one of this month's hottest club bangers, hands down!
rico tubbs - boom riddim (sharkslayer remix)
and in case you have been sleeping on it, here's another recent remix by sharkslayer for 'the star of east berlin' (by) dj wool.
dj wool - the star of east berlin (sharkslayer remix)
show sharkslayer some myspace love and stay alert!

man i've been waitin for a new sharkslayer track forever, they need to drop a release already!
fidget got way too commercial, 2009 will be the year of the nu disco movement
fidget commercial? huh?
and i thought the year of 'nu disco' was the year lindstrom's album came out.
no one knows what this year will bring. probably there'll be no clear winner.
shark slayer are one of the very few who can atually do 'fidget' (what is fidget now anyway? seems just a giant tag for anything 'wobbly'). im fair over 80% of this style of electro now. there's probly only around 10 artists out of the abundance of people pushing the stuff who i can keep listening to. now we all race to the new genre or sound to stay ever so fresh and up-to-date. after all, thats more important then enjoying the music for what it is, right?
The only thing that counts is that the sound sounds good, isn`t it?
the new sound will be a rap / electronic hybrid coming out of america. fidget, crookers, toddla t, sinden, anything with a 'wowwww-wowww-wowww' baseline sucks. i saw crookers a couple weeks ago and it was one of the worst experiences i have ever been exposed to.
Yeah!!! Finally some nice critical comments again. Back to what a good blog is about.
that rap/electronic hybrid coming out of the us is already played out. have you heard the new mstrkrft album? if that don't kill it noting will.
true what nacho said.
fidget is already becoming token, but i'm still not tired of the masters like jbeats and slater. i'm not sure which will manifest in mainstream first, fidget or dubstep. i'm gonna go with dubstep, especially after snoop dogg millionaire
agreed with harrison....artists like jbeats could keep doing their thing and i'd still keep listening, because thats their craft and they can do it well. same with jesse rose, trevor loveys...switch and a handful of others.
i do believe many people seem more interested in finding the new in sound before its in just for fashions sake. which is probly why alot of dance music has such a short expirey date on it...doesn't take much for a track to be considered old news.
Is your mail broken or what?
Glad to hear someone else is tired of all this wank distortion. Let's get something cleaner with some space, you know?
Finland represent ayeee!
hahaha... first one should be labeled Da Hool - "Meet Her at the Love Parade (2009 remix)"
rap/electronic hybrid? you mean like hip house? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hip_house
I think everything that surfaces stays. and then new things come and they stay too, it just becomes a giant pile of stuff that exists and nothing ever goes away. So the crookers will tour for years and years, and the beetroots too, just as kraftwerk and derrick may and daft punk etc. etc. are all still beeing played everywhere.. As for the "next thing". no idea, i hope it's me.
