futurecop! + ooga booga.

the good boys from futurecop! are finally dropping their first official release on december 25th, just right on time to give all of us something wonderful to hold on throughout those horrible holidays. being a joint effort from both our friends over at iheartcomix! and southern fried, 'the unicorn & the lost city of alvograth' (!!!) features their three original tracks "tonight's hero", 'as seen on tv' and "n.a.s.a.".

to celebrate the release, they sent over an all new track named 'eyes like the ocean' which must be my favorite futurecop! work so far. enjoy this very playful, dreamy yet driving epic eighties synth-flavoured masterpiece and buy the ep when it hits beatport!

futurecop! - eyes like the ocean

also futurecop! but in a lot more banging way is ooga booga from hamburg's hard-hitting rework of 'transformers', the very first track we brought you from the cops back then. killer!

futurecop! - transformers (ooga booga remix)

watch out for a dedicated post on the super-talented ooga booga soon and head over to beatport on the 25th to spend your money on the futurecop! ep!

Eyes Like The Ocean sounds like a lumpy re-write of Transformers. The synth line out-of-time stutter is annoying rather than charming.

The only brilliant thing about this is the artwork.

Weren't this lot pretty good once?

i definitely hear you about 'eyes like the ocean' reminding you of transformers and i also noticed that the synth is a bit out of time.

but yeah well, i am still loving it!

I agree. I really wanted to like eyes like the ocean, but that stutter is incredibly distracting. It really held me back from enjoying it to the fullest.

maybe we can get a reworked version if we just cry hard enough!

the artwork is shit too... taking it way too far haha. please don't say that's the zonders' work.

I love Futurecop(!) and all, but I have to agree about this weird synthline thing. Just odd, sounds unfinished.
I sometimes wish they would explore their sound a bit more and get someone to master their tracks more professionally. They have a lot of potential...
Love the art... perfect for them.

I LOVE EYES LIKE THE OCEAN!
I LOVE THE ARTWORK!!

FUTURECOP! ROCK MY WORLD!!!!!

and you gotta be really sad to make an effort to actually write bad things about an artist on a blog. and why does jimmy silver really not like futurecop! haha

Lol, nadia, sure you may like futurecop, I do too but there is no denying there is mistakes in this track, and some of them make it almost painful to listen to...

I agree with all the other posters here. I make dj mixes and some original tracks like a lot of us and its pretty painfully weird that these guys wouldnt take the time to fix the timing of the arpeggiator- its really pretty easy. Disappointing, this track could be a lot more.

if you dont like futurecop you must have aids and cancer, its that simple. only someone ravaged by these two horrible afflictions (at the same time) would have a mind warped enough to not get an instant stiffy when confronted by these lush synth driven melodies. the latest medical research actually suggests that listening to transformers whilst submerged in baby oil for an extended period of time can actaully halt the onset of HIV in its initial stages...what other synth pop outfit can claim the same?

none

im with dr wooden - just found out about this band and they are amazing! - where can i find the original transformers track everyone keeps talking about?? please help... p.s eyes like the ocean is awesome! people got to remember no one cares if arpegiator (whatever that is?!?) isnt right - its all about melodies and these guys kill it!
