take no prisoners.

alan parley also known as hostage from edinburgh, scotland is producing house music for ten years now. besides getting massive radio airplay, his track "let's pretend" was featured on a mixmag compilation alongside tracks by sebastian, surkin and erick morillo. check 24 hours for more material, including a remix by the scar and watch out for countless hostage gigs soon.

'gluttony' is a supersaturated club banger driven by whirling synths and roaring basses that could originate from a gabber track, interrupted by an uplifting breakdown that will remind you of your favorite uk hardcore tape just before it rips your dreams of a better world to pieces and knocks you all the way down again. play it loud!

electro is dead.

the other day i was checking out bigstereo and came across their gameboy/gamegirl feature. the track really got me excited and so i went straight to miami horror who produced the track. the 'electro is dead' quote on his profile made me shake my head - until the myspace player got going. imagine daft punk rolling with prince. get ready for heavy banging drums and ecstatic chords covering thick layers of synth, making way for mindbending guitar solos and tons of funk, in short: miami horror is sharper than axel foley's new haircut. and even though the new justice single leaked on the very same day, i couldn't stop listening to "don't be on with her". that night, electro was dead.

when asked about who has influenced his music he named prince, early madonna, joy division, italo disco, giorgio moroder and the devil. a full-length with all new tracks is currently in the works, get ready for "both a pop 80's disco adventure and musical journey through a range of lost epic 80's styles, with some songs feeling reminiscent of movie soundtracks". i can't wait, this 20-year old australian is the freshest thing i've heard in ages.

i am more than excited to have these tunes as exclusive firsts on discodust:

miami horror - don't be on with her
stardust - music sounds better with you (miami horror remix)

creation through deconstruction.

after coming back to italy from an excessive worldwide two months clubbing trip, the bloody beetroots were born in order to bring their own vision of deconstruction to the dancefloors where it all started - from berlin to london, through barcelona and new york. this is unpredictable architecture. controlled chaos. handcrafted drawing-board riots. bob & tea are out there to deconstruct everything that makes a sound. coming up soon are productions for sirbilly as well as official remixes for the whip, fox n'wolf (both on kitsune maison) and crookers (hear it on their myspace). you better take cover and watch out - your tune might be the next to be turned upside down and taken apart.

up on discodust are two rough and raw electro tunes off their first four-tracker:

they just want to rock.

pink skull is a producer and dj-collective from philadelphia, incorporating influences ranging from 70's krautrock, yesterday's disco, today's electro house and the yet to be named sound of tomorrow. besides remixes for spank rock, plastic little and man man, they recently got busy on argentina's hottest export lovely chords and gave their pig radio most played hit 'we push up on frenchies' a fresh rework. i am sure this track will be featured in mixes all over within no time - and i told you the 303 is coming back:

lovely chords - we push up on frenchies (pink skull remix)

if you want more from pink skull, watch out for their full length dropping this spring on tonearm records (part of the philadelphia collective free news projects). if you want more from lovely chords, watch out for a special feature on here soon. in the meantime, try some of these:

killergrooves.

sky's the limit for german dj and producer malente. besides having two singles ('killer applikation' and 'open secret') in the current top ten german club charts and hosting a weekly radioshow he is currently melting soundsystems in australia and will soon set fire to floors in thailand, russia, canada and the united states. in between all that, already having remixed the likes of bob sinclar and louie austen, he recently finished off a remix for the killergroove formula. he turned 'out of money' into a literally 'crazy ass dub' that will definitely appeal to fans of switch, solid groove and everyone who is into broken beats at all. the twelve inch will be out on lounge records in february, but for now it is another exclusive first on here:

the killergroove formula - out of money (malente's crazy ass dub)

watch out for more from malente because he's definitely ready to drop it, yeah fo'real.

dirty moves.

i am glad to start the new year off with the first exclusive track on discodust, sent to me by felix cartal straight from france. 'moss vs. tree' is a hard hitting rave track that will definitely make a lot of people go crazy on the floors, fitting right in after tracks along the lines of mstrkrft. speaking of, he also remixed their track 'the looks' and if you actually haven't heard it yet, go check it out over at shot callin'. and i agree with lazaro casanova, if he goes on like this, felix cartal will be up in the major league in no time - watch out for more remixes from him early this year, i will definitely keep you posted.

felix cartal - moss vs. tree

tube & berger from solingen, germany released a new track under their babylon robots moniker and dj delicious, known for his smash 'same man', teamed up with dj errik for a smokin' hot remix. and as i have hardly heard any recent electro dj set that didn't have this track, i am sure you were already trying to track this one down. the 'dop4m1n' twelve inch is out on kittball records.

last one for tonight is 'dirty' by autotune from berlin, a funk-laden electro house stomper released on fumakilla. the twelve inch also features remixes by phage & daniel dreier and woody. if you manage to stand still while this track is playing, don't bother to come here again.

so much love.

starting off with the latest release on pryda friends, one of the labels by eric prydz, 'xperimental scratch' features another top notch remix by sébastien léger who busts out the 303 just when the time is right. and i bet in 2007 we will see a more heavy use of the 303 again, all over.

in 2007 i also expect more perfect peaktime floorfillers from john dahlbäck, who obviously can't help but produce one of them a day. he will definitely be way up high (again) in this years top producer charts. 'superkiller' is a new release on confused recordings from bremen, germany which is run by oliver huntemann. with its somewhat eerie filmic atmosphere, i bet this track has already caused more than a few bad trips.

in order to make everyone feel warm and comfortable again, here is another fresh disco tune on work it baby by label owner kris menace, dropped under his new alias jaunt. and as always i am so envious and wonder which tricks he pulls to get those massive sounds out.

and to remind all of you what this holiday season is all about, here is a little bonus. happy holidays to all of you and thanks to everyone who helped me to get this going, you know who you are. love.

in slow motion.

it took me quite a while to find out what all the hype is about concerning kissy sell out from the united kingdom, but his latest remix for rainer weichhold out on great stuff records really does it for me - like most of their releases, be sure to keep an eye on them and check out their back catalogue.

rainer weichhold - infinite template (kissy sell out remix)

it took me even longer to finally acknowledge how good switch, solid groove and sinden are. but after i've heard the switch remix of spank rock's 'bump' on like one hundred dj mixes, i was finally convinced. here is another driving solid groove remix of 'mature macho machine' by radioclit, also featuring ttc.

radioclit - mature macho machine (solid groove & sinden remix)

and finally i even came too late to be the first to tell you about herve, one half of speakerjunk, but i've had 'see me', one hell of a grooving track and yet another excellent release on dubsided, on heavy rotation for quite a while now and there might be a chance you haven't heard it by now.
